Winter is back and wreaking havoc on St. Thomas and Elgin County roadways.

All drivers are reminded that snow tires are the safest way to avoid collisions on winter roads, so the earlier you can get them, the better.

Bob Ward with St. Thomas Auto Guys says you shouldn’t wait last minute

He adds that on top of snow tires, premium washer fluid is necessary for your vehicle to avoid the fluid gelling or freezing on your windshield.

Windshield wipers should also be turned off before the engine, and need to be cleaned before the vehicle is turned on to avoid breaking them.
